Megan (Kim Delaney) heads the probe into the bloody murder of a 50-year-old Cuban priest who was shot by a hunting rifle in a rectory. There's no sign of a break-in and the killing resembles an execution. Across town, Horatio (David Caruso) is called to the scene of a single-car accident in which a young woman was killed, her body badly burned after the stolen car she was driving crashed into a ravine and exploded. However, suspicious findings at the site combined with the autopsy report convince Horatio that the woman was murdered.
