I hope that you are not generalizing all Canadians as a result of that. Some Americans do not agree either or they would not have fled to Canada looking for freedom and a way out of fighting the war. I believe they were called dodgers in the Nam days.
Canadians do their part to help. When the planes went down in 9/11 and people (Americans were stranded.. Canadians opened their homes to them for as long as needed. We may not have agreed with the war, but we do have troops over there.
We did not generalize the Americans when that American Pilot fired on Canadians doing training over there, we never even received an apology.
To generalize one Country as a result of one man is not fair. That would be like say all Americans are Rude and Obnoxious as a result of a bad trip to New York or Miami. You can not blame a country or its people as a result. That is just not fair.
What we are never changes. Who we are never stops changing.

i wasn't "generalizeing" sorry if you took it that way.
i'm talking about all the countries who slam us for doing something but take all that we offer and have, it's give me give me give me.
yes the canadians were wonderful during 911 housing our people and all. it amazes me that the world watches our tv shows to the point they are high on the list rather then some of their own. that's the message in general

I don't know our top 10, but I'm sure it would be have either Coronation Street or Eastenders at number 1, but I did find out CSI got 3.1 million viewers on Tuesday and CSI:Miami had 2.9 million viewers so it looks like CSI is still doing strong on Channel 5.

Canada's Top ten of 30.
Canadian TV Ratings: June 20-26, 2005 BY POPJOURNALISM STAFF POSTED ON JUNE 28, 2005
Déjà vu? Yup. This week's top six programs remained unmoved from the previous week, still lead by perennial summer ratings leader Canadian Idol, which is confidently perched at the #1 and #3 spots.
The reality competition Dancing With The Stars — which pairs C-list celebs like New Kids On The Block's Joey McIntryre with professional dancers — is proving to be a reliable draw.
I know we've said this before, but we'll say it again: Canadians love reality TV.
As for scripted television, the sleeper medical drama House seems to be holding onto viewers who caught the show when it was paired with American Idol late this season.
And finally, CBC's The National closed this week as Canada's most watched nightly national newscast.
Here are the week's top 10/ 30 ( will post them a few days apart. )Rank Program Network Total Viewers
1 Canadian Idol 3 (Tue, 8 p.m.) CTV 2,084,000
2 C.S.I. (Thu, 9 p.m.) CTV 1,690,000
3 Canadian Idol 3 (Wed, 8 p.m.) CTV 1,543,000
4 Law & Order: SVU (Tue, 10 p.m.) CTV 1,467,000
5 Dancing with the Stars (Wed, 9 p.m.) CTV 1,392,000
6 Law & Order (Wed, 10 p.m.) CTV 1,312,000
7 C.S.I. Miami (Mon, 10 p.m.) CTV 1,210,000
8 CTV Local News (Mon-Fri, 6 p.m.) CTV 1,184,000

Live 8 lures nearly one million viewers: Sir Bob Geldof poses (Photo Credit: CTV)
BY POPJOURNALISM STAFF
POSTED ON JULY 5, 2005
Canadians tuned into Live 8 (#8) in droves, with an average of nearly one million viewers watching the special's entire 18-hour broadcast.
Live 8's numbers, while expected to be strong, may actually be larger since it was broadcast during the Canada Day long weekend when many viewers are out at their cottages, out of range for standard audience measurement.
And in our regular news watch, CTV's National News (#13) closed the week as Canada's most watched nightly national newscast. Here are the week's top 10/30 TV programs: Rank Program Network Total Viewers
1 Canadian Idol 3 (Tue, 8 p.m.) CTV 1,739,000
